Private Client Department

This department offers a range of services planning for the future, including Wills, Statement of Wishes, Discretionary Trusts, applications to the Public Guardianship Office or Lasting Powers of Attorney, grant of Probate and Letters of Administration.
Andrew Walker has been appointed by the Court of Protection to act as the receiver for clients for over 10 years. He has considerable experience in dealing with the financial affairs of clients who would not have the mental capacity to deal with their own affairs.
Significant changes are proposed under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 which comes into force in October 2007. Our experienced staff are ready for these changes and will guide you through the important decisions that should be addressed now by you and your loved ones. We can offer advice on advance decisions/directives (often wrongly called living wills).
We understand the heartache caused when you lose a loved one and will try to relieve some of the frustrations of dealing with these practical but necessary matters on your behalf.
We understand the importance of acting quickly in such important matters and are always available for either home or hospital visits. Please do not hesitate to ask our friendly staff for more information on this vital service.
